I have this blog... what do I do with it? August 14 2010 | Saturday at 02:24 PM
Shortarmy.com has gotten a few new touches, and this blog is one of them. I'm excited to be able to share with you upcoming new releases, contests, events, random art I make, and more than likely, occasional adorable pictures of my babies wearing our gear. I'll also be sneaking in a coupon code here and there, just to see if you're paying attention.
So what's Short Army all about? Well, once upon a time I made these silly hats, and my friends stole them all. So I made more, and more people came out of the woodwork and snagged those too. I started selling them a little, and pretty soon, I couldn't keep up with the demand. I was so excited to make something that people like that I dove in head-first. With some help from my pal at beardhead.com I found a factory overseas that allowed me to make LOTS of hats, and some lovely people at threadbird.com helped me turn my artwork into fantastically soft t-shirts. And now, if you want, you can have some of this great stuff, too!
My main source of inspiration for the things I design are kids. Although all our merchandise is designed to fit adults as well, I get a lot out of looking through my first-grade historical picture books or the colors and textures of my daughter's wardrobe. I want my artwork to be appropriate for all ages, without being dull or dumbed-down. Please feel free to get in touch and let me know what you think or just mooch some coupon codes: miri@shortarmy.com
